Loveland, CO: Happy Birthday Mary Lynn !!!

First of all, Happy Birthday to my lovely wife, Mary Lynn!

We had a great day in and around Loveland, Colorado doing one of MLA's favorite activities: shopping for bargains.

It's been tough for her in the RV. Since we have such limited space to store 'things' she has had to fore go most of her shopping while we travel. It's just not any fun to go shopping when you can't buy or if you do buy something, have to 'pitch' something already in the RV to make room for the new item. No fun at all.

Well, today we 'suspended' the 'throw one item out to bring one item in" rule. I took her all over Loveland in pursuit of her deals on jewelry, clothes, and especially books.

Books are one of her (and my) favorite luxuries, however, given their weight we have to manage the quantity carefully. We give away/trade books as we read them so we can pick up 'new' books. Since we give them away we are constantly looking for bargains on books: Library Sell-offs, Used Book Stores, yard sales, and book outlets.

Today we hit three places selling used books and a Borders Outlet selling new books. We found some great bargains; now we need to allocate some extra time to work our way through the books. Occasionally we'll read each other's books however mostly her taste and mine are different.

Tomorrow we plan to head back to Rocky Mountain National Park to the far West reaches of the park. Whether we use the motorcycle or car depends on the weather; right now there is a chance of rain. We'll see how it looks in the am.

Really enjoying Colorado, there is so much to see and do here, and the scenery is just spectacular. Even the storms are beautiful: fast moving, dark, loud, and powerful storms that light up the sky with lightning and thunder you can feel down to your toes. Wow!
