Well, After a couple of cool days and even colder nights in Kalispell we are headed out to Alaska. Well, actually we are headed out to Canada via Banff, Jasper, Price George and finally Prince Rupert, where we will catch the Alaska Ferry, leaving early on the 21st of May and officially arriving in Alaska later that same day.
During our travels in Canada we will have little or no cell phone coverage and the only Internet access will be what's available in the campgrounds where we will stay. Our own wifi system will work however it will be hugely expensive if we use it so I'm just going to pull the plug while we are in Canada and depend on local hot spots.
The posts may be a little spotty, just like they have been for the last few days however I promise to keep updating the information on my computer and publishing when I get coverage.
Well, we left Dave and Mary Anne's about an hour ago and I'm typing this in the parking lot of an Albertson's where we stopped for ice.
By tonight we should be somewhere around Banff in Alberta; I hear it's even cooler there. Everyone keeps talking about how 'late' spring is this year. Hope that's not an indicator for the entire trip!
This part of the country is beautiful and I'll keep taking pictures although they can hardly do the real landscapes justice.
