Yesterday and today we took it easy, relaxing by the pool and enjoying this great Vegas weather. A little windy however it's still quite nice.I did go to the drawing for an original Orange County Choppers bike you see pictured here. I read about the drawing and figured I would go put my name in the drawing, win the bike, and then figure out how I would get two bikes 'down the road'.
Turns out you had to register for the event to get your name in the drawing. Really reduces your chances of winning when your name is not in the drawing drum. Amazingly, my name did not get called.
This was one of those 'had to be present to win' drawings and the person who's name was drawn first was not there. The crowd quickly chanted for another name to be drawn and within about 30 seconds the young lady did just that. The second person drawn was there and was shocked to be selected. Very cool.
Tomorrow (Sunday) we leave for the Phoenix area. We'll probably end up around Sedona as that's one of Mary Lynn's favorite places. Our girls fly into Phoenix on Monday night and we'll spend a week seeing the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and Phoenix while enjoying the girl's company.
Las Vegas has been a lot of fun however we are ready to hit the road put this town in our rear view mirror.
I won't waste your time discussing all the chores we accomplished today in preparation for leaving however I will say I won't have much difficulty sleeping tonight.
Stay tuned as we change our base of operations to Arizona. Yeah.
