We decided to stay in camp another day to let MLA rest after being sick for a couple of days. Still there's always a lot to do around the RV and around camp.
With us planning to move to a riverside site tomorrow I wanted to get the motorcycle unloaded. As it does occasionally, unloading the motorcycle drew a small crowd. Lots of people want to be able to take a scooter/motorcycle along however not many make it happen. So I had a few of the usual questions while I was unloading.
The bike, other than being dirty from traveling behind the RV, is ready to go up the mountain. The roads around here are perfect, nice and twisty. Can't wait.
Also took some time to watch a few Olympic events. Really an incredible sight to see all of these (mostly) young athletes compete. To see them overcome their nervousness and nail a performance is really something else, regardless of which country they are from.
While cooking dinner outside (turkey chili) we had a few folks stop and say hello. One couple is in the process of buying a new RV and they wanted a quick look inside the RV. MLA was only too happy to show them around & doesn't take long given the size of an RV.
MLA is missing the kids and home. I guess when you don't feel well you just want to be surrounded by your family and in your 'comfort zone'. We'll see if the RV ever becomes that 'comfort zone'; with travelling all the time you rarely will be surrounded by family in the same way your were when they kids were young.
Hopefully she'll be feeling 100% soon and we'll be able to resume our touring of the local area. No matter, we're not in a hurry to go anywhere so we can stay for as long as we want before moving to South Dakota to see Mt Rushmore/Crazy Horse Memorial/Badlands/Deadwood/Custer State Park, etc.
See Ya!
